The secondary school has always been famous for successfully training the gifted students who then become high school students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (AMS). As the school admission is implemented publicly and seriously with high demand, many students are under increasing pressure of the exam; however, every year there are hundreds candidates who apply for the school, the odds ratio for admission of 1:20 (schoolyear of 2014-2015): Ams secondary sector is always the center of attention for concerned parents and students alike in this admission season.

“Ams will become the treasure that is nowhere to be found in your entire life. Ams has provided you with values and granted you with virtues as a part of your luggage on your every road branch…”, said Mrs. Le Thi Oanh – the captain of the ship named Hanoi Amsterdam – in the graduation ceremony of 12-15 seniors.
On Monday afternoon of May 18th, 2015, at the 700-auditorium, the second round of Ams Abassador took place in the excitement of numerous Amsers, all of whom were rooting for their favorite couples. In turn of the fervent support from the audience, every couples brought to the stage performances that amazed the judges and exceeded the crowd’s expectation.
In 30 years, the logo has always been on the left side or in front of the hearts of generations of students. Simple as it is, it represents the pride, love and attachment to the school, not just in 30 years, but forever…

On Thursday (14/1/2015) saw the long-awaited Finale of Ams’ Got Talent season 7 – the annual event hosted by students of class 11 English 1 in search of hidden talents in Hanoi – Amsterdam High School. The meaningful, creative and well-prepared performances were undoubtedly unequivocal evidence of Amsers’ talent, Amsers’ spirit. And sure enough, they all brought the house down.
Wednesday morning December 31st, 2014, at 10Geo’s classroom (Floor 3, Building C), a knowledge exchange on science took place between Physics&Youth Hanoi-Ams (PYHA) of Hanoi-Amsterdam High school for the Gifted and Environmental Science club of Korea International School. The exchange provided a chance for the two top clubs in science of the school to share their experiences and created a beautiful, unifiying friendship between Amsers and students of Korea International School in the future.
