This “earnest guy” of 12 Chemistry 1 has outstandingly achieved the first place of both the Weekly and the Monthly contest of “The road to Mount Olympia”, bringing untold pride and joy to his teachers and classmates at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted!
This is an age-old article written in Dutch, which dates back to the 1990s. What’s particularly remarkable about the article is that it represents a momentous milestone in the relationship between Vietnam and The Netherlands, with their collaboration to build one of the first schools for the gifted in Hanoi. It was the Dutch people’s support that eventually led to the foundation of Hanoi-Amsterdam and its success today.
In the afternoon of August 19th, despite the blazing heat of the summer, new Amsers of 15- 18 session are still eager to join the Club Fair- an important event that provides the most general view of all clubs in the school. Nearly 40 different clubs together create an extremely animated atmosphere, just like the upcoming beginning of the new school year.
Although Pandorams was newly introduced this summer, this 2-day camp attracted an amazing number of over 80 participants on 08/09 and 09/09/2015 at Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
Hoping to bring an atmosphere full of love for Amsers, contiuing previous successes Momento prom 2013 and 2014, Ams Connect holds night prom Momento III – Primo Amore. The prom attracted over 200 students and was truly a reunion night for Amsers to meet, chat and enjoy outstanding performances.
From July 3rd to 12th, the Thăng Long troupe comprising 13 members from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted's French Theater Club and French teacher Đỗ Hồng Vân, and theater teachers Quentin Delorme and Marianne Seguin had a trip to Grenoble, France to participate in a series of cultural exchange days through theater in the 27th European Youth Theater Encounter, organized by Créarc (Center for Creation, Research and Culture, also European Youth Theater Center.) After the end of the Festival, the troupe members had a tour of France and arrived in Hanoi on July 20th, bringing back beautiful memories and valuable lessons accrued after 3 weeks in the country.
Poignant stories about the silent sacrifice of teachers seem to never come to an end. It is no coincidence that we affectionately call teachers our second mothers and fathers. What teachers have done for us is as great as what our parents do as numerous teachers have selflessly devoted themselves to their children and their job.
