According to Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, for  students to be imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, teachers must pioneer in experiencing events.

On the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, some students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted paid a visit to the exhibition “Uncle Ho with Hanoi” and the art space “Lotus calligraphy” at Hanoi Museum.

As a math major student with an avid passion for History, Dang Dinh Truong, 12 Math 2, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted said: “I am deeply impressed with Uncle Ho's quote printed in the 6th grade textbook, "Our people have to know our history". Previously, I did not understand why in the Vietnamese History curriculum, there is a section on World History. But now I understand that through it, students will have an overview of the momentous decisions for the nation, especially those of President Ho Chi Minh.”

Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, said that to assist students to become imbued in our history and President Ho Chi Minh's philosophy, first of all, the Principal and teachers must accompany students in events. Teachers are the ones who inspire students about these great values.

"The school teaches students about Uncle Ho through flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of each week. These can be in the form of cultural activities, plays, trivia questions about Uncle Ho's life and revolutionary activities. Students are approached with the subject quite subtly. More advanced are the anniversary events at the museum that I myself was the one who took the children to. I hope that when they become university students, they will return to school to preach about these ideological values and historical knowledge with juniors," said Ms. Thuy Duong.
