High School Entrance Exam Support programme: the color of Youth in the 2023 “Hoa Phuong Do” campaign
Recently, more than 100,000 9th-graders in Hanoi participated in the 2023 High School Entrance Exam. Regarding its success, it is impossible not to mention the contribution of volunteers from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in the “Hoa Phuong Do” (Red Phoenix) campaign of 2023.
From June 9th to 12th, 2023, the Hoa Phuong Do volunteer team and teachers strived to aid the students during the High school Entrance Exam at the testing site of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Undoubtedly, the “Hoa Phuong Do” campaign not only displayed humanistic values and attracted an enthusiastic response from Union members but was also an opportunity for students to strengthen pro-activity as well as spreading kind messages to the community.

Under the sweltering sun of the summer days of June, volunteers in blue shirts were already standing by the school gates, the entrances to the exam area or the map of the exam rooms, etc., where they could more conveniently guide the candidates. Unlabelled bottles of water were handed to each student, along with wishes of good luck and enthusiastic assistance from the volunteers, which seemed to have toughened the students for the challenging exam ahead.
Even the scorching weather could not burn down the spirit of the “blue-shirt soldiers”
In a way, the pressure of the High school Entrance Exam created the diamond of determination within the students, as they had to embark on an arduous journey to their aspirations. Closely following behind was the immense encouragement and hope from families and teachers on the other side of the school gate. Fully aware of their responsibilities, the volunteers went out of their way to provide reassurance so the students could enter the exam room with the most comfortable and confident mentality.

Another exam season has passed, leaving in the hearts of students and volunteers beautiful memories of the “Hoa Phuong Do” campaign - Exam Support Programme 2023 at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Congratulations to the volunteers for successfully fulfilling their tasks as well as to the students for their excellent performance in the High school Entrance Exam. May they reap fruits worthy of their efforts!
