According to Hanoi MOET, 2 startup projects by students of the Capital have recently been chosen by the organization board for the finals of the Students’ Startup competition year 2021, which is projected to be held from 25/3/2022 to 28/3/2022 in Vĩnh Phúc province.

The projects by the students of the Capital include: Project “Producing TX Green Nano mouthwash to prevent school-related dental diseases” from Thanh Xuân Middle School students; project “Signtegrate - communication assistance device for Vietnamese deaf via a sign language translation app that utilizes artificial intelligence” carried out by Hanoi - Amsterdam High School students.

During their presentation of the projects, two Hanoi - Amsterdam High School 11 Math 2 students, Nguyễn Tài Minh and Phạm Ninh Giang, said: Signtegrate is the first app in Vietnam to translate the Hanoian Sign Language into written and spoken Vietnamese.

The app uses artificial intelligence invented by Google to recognize and extract skeleton-based gestures with high accuracy in real time, hoping to enable translation of procedural videos in the Hanoian Sign Language into Vietnamese text.

The app Signtegrate contributes to the removal of language barriers, mitigating the difficulties in communication between normal people and deaf people, which would aid in the integration of the deaf community into society and provide them with more opportunities in life.

This is a Vietnamese product so it will allow Vietnamese to more easily access this app. The product will also be continuously upgraded to provide the best service catered to the Vietnamese target audience.

Hoàng Minh Châu - a 9A1 student, representative of the Thanh Xuân Middle School team, also explained: The project centers around a type of mouthwash with silver nanoparticles synthesized from eco-friendly and natural ingredients.

This silver nano mouthwash has the ability to protect the teeth and gums of students of all ages. The product is made from natural ingredients, with no chemical residue or chemicals toxic for the environment from production; it is also easy to use and absolutely safe from side effects. Most notably, it can be made on the spot without complex machines, thus lowering the costs.

The project’s aim is to devise solutions to hygiene and risk reduction of dental diseases for students even at school, assisting in disease prevention, reduction of check-up and medical costs as well as encouraging further research and developing startup movements among students.

For the 2 projects by students of the Capital to be widely known and voted by cadres, employees and students, while also assessing the propaganda efforts by teachers and students in supporting students’ startups, Hanoi MOET recommends that each school informs and encourages its cadres, teachers, employees and students to vote https://dean1665.vn/binhchon Voting time before 25/3/2022.
