Four students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted honored to join the Party

The admission ceremony of four academically and extracurricularly outstanding Youth Union members of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted took place on the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19th, 1890 - May 19th, 2023). It was not only an admission ceremony for the new party members but also a political and ideological activity, providing newly admitted party members and elite unionists with awareness and revolutionary morality.

Following three successful Party membership admission ceremonies in the past two years, on May 19th, 2023, the Party Committee of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted held an admission ceremony for four comrades: Chu Hoa Bao Tram (History - Library Department), Nguyen Phuong Dung, Nguyen Hoang Dam Thuyen (Mathematics - Information Department), Quan Thien Hung (Geography - Civic Education - Office Department).


Before the ceremony commenced, the students offered incense to commemorate Uncle Ho at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial room to express their gratitude to the leader of the nation.

The ceremony started with a visit to an exhibition of pictures of President Ho Chi Minh, and watched documentaries about Uncle Ho’s life and career. From that experience, the students could acquire a better understanding of Uncle Ho's life and pursuit.

Being held on the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday, it was both an admission ceremony for new Party members and a political and ideological activity. Therefore, the ceremony boosted new Party members’ and elite Union members’ cognizance and revolutionary morality.

All four students admitted in the ceremony were excellent Union members who had strived to achieve impressive accomplishments in study and training, as well as proactively participating in extracurricular activities, and contests. Through all of the training and challenges, they have affirmed the qualities of young Party members as talented and idealistic assets capable of contributing to the development of the Party.

Comrade Chu Hoa Bao Tram is an excellent union member who has affirmed her quality and political bravery in the activities of the Youth Union when she assumed the role of Member of the Executive Committee of Hanoi’s Union, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Executive of Cau Giay District Union and Deputy Secretary of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Her remarkable achievements include the title of “Good Person, good deed” - in 2018, the Badge of “Good Successor of Uncle Ho” at the Central level in 2020, Exemplary Officer of the Capital Union in 2022, and many other outstanding milestones in National activities, showing that Bao Tram has had a long journey to enrich her capabilities and qualities to soon enter the ranks of the party members.

Comrade Nguyen Phuong Dung is an intellectually good student with impressive academic results and an IELTS score of 8.0. In particular, her passion for national history as a History-major student soon ignited her faith in the cause of the Party and her desire to dedicate herself to the development of the Party. Phuong Dung has won the trust of teachers and friends through her enthusiasm for extracurricular activities and emulation movements of the Youth Union.

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Dam Thuyen is a Math-major student with outstanding academic achievements such as awards in the Excellent Student contest, prestigious medals in the international arena, and internationally award-winning research projects. However, he was strongly inspired by family tradition, from his passion for national history to his aspiration to join the ranks of the Party. Dam Thuyen assumes the role of Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Chairman of the Thap sang tai nang Club (of the Research Institute for Innovation and Quality Accreditation, Hanoi, Vietnam), and many other volunteering and social activities.

Comrade Quan Thien Hung is not only a student with excellent academic and scientific achievements but also an active member of the Youth Union who participates in volunteering activities and youth movements at the Youth Union and the District Youth Union.

After the oath of the new party members, Comrade Tran Thuy Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted said: Entering the ranks of the Party is an honor, but it is not the final objective. It is the beginning of the journey of constantly cultivating oneself, “self-reflection”, “self-correction”, and “self-improvement” to eliminate alienation and corruption, and to contribute talents, intelligence, and enthusiasm for the cause of the Nation’s construction.

The admission ceremony of the Party Committee of the school ended with overwhelming emotions from the new party members and the trust of the leaders and the whole Party for the four members honored to stand in the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It is also a motivation for the elite union members who will be devoting themselves to soon follow their predecessors and become talented and courageous party members in the future.
