The Earth Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, has just launched its first initiative called “The First Prize”, a global $200,000 environmental sustainability competition for students between the ages of 13 and 19. With this initiative, the Foundation aims to inspire, educate, mentor, and empower students and young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to tackle environmental challenges.

Participating in "The Earth Prize" 2021, students will not only be provided with exclusive references on environment-related topics, but also receive specialized advice from experts. experienced college students. Besides, this is also a valuable opportunity for young people to exchange with the most influential Ambassadors in the world and present their unique initiatives to the global audience.

Registration closes on October 31st, and there will be time for the registered participants to work on their projects. The winning team and school will receive a US$100,000 grant and the three finalist schools will get a US$25,000 grant each. The Foundation has requested the Swiss Embassy in Hanoi to circulate the information on the Earth Prize, with a view to encouraging creative and talented students of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted to take part in the contest. All contestants will have a chance to become members of The Earth Foundation Alumni Association - a community of passionate individuals/organizations providing mentoring and internship opportunities in many countries.

Important notes:

- Each student/teacher in charge registering for the contest need to do so individually on The Earth Prize's online platform. Upon completing the registration, the organizing committee will provide each student and teacher with access to exclusive materials, advice from university students, and some guidance on the idea formation process.
