The journey of love and sharing
On March 7th, 2018, with the school board’s facilitation, the teachers and students of class 10 Geography and 10 Physics 2, together with their parents, held a charity event at Hoa Binh Children’s Village and Rehabilitation Center, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. This is a very meaningful activity for the two classes in general and each student in particular. At the center, interactive activities such as playing games and singing were organized with the desire to bring joy to the children with birth defects and children of Agent Orange.
To organize the event, members of the two classes had actively prepared plans for activities and games with the children at Hoa Binh village.

The atmosphere soon bustled with excitement. The children warmly welcomed our activities with rapturous applause, giving us much motivation and confidence.
The kids must have been most excited at singing and receiving presents. "I will be mother's spring / I will be father's sunlight ..." – the song became much more meaningful with the children’s voices singing along with us.

In addition to the games, classes 10 Geography and 10 Physics 2 also gave the children and the Center 103 gifts worth 30 million VND and many other handmade items such as cards, bracelets and present boxes to raise funds for the children.
After interacting with the children, we split into small groups assigned with different tasks. The cleaning team quickly brought brooms, towels and mop sticks to tidy up the children’s bedrooms. The other five groups were in classrooms instructing the kids to play games such as coloring, shape recognition or making handmade items. These games had been carefully prepared in advance to ensure their suitability with the awareness and ability of the children.

Getting all of the children involved in the activities in such a short time was by no means easy; some were so naughty, while some others were very reserved. That is why we felt much respect for the patience and hard work of the doctors and teachers who took care of the children there.
The time had come for the two classes to say goodbye to the children.

Our stay with the children, although not for long, left us a deep impression. In the near future, we will definitely visit them more often, sharing our love to alleviate their difficulties.
