Following the plan of school year 2019 - 2020, being approved by Communist Party, school board, the Executive Committee of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, the Teachers’ Communist Youth Union had solemnly organized the Congress of school year 2019-2021. The Congress was for evaluating, concluding the Union’s activities in the previous tenure, pointing out strengths, drawbacks, analyzing causes, achievements and remaining downsides, from which proposing direction, missions for the new tenure. Also, the Congress had elected the Executive Committee of 2019 - 2021.
Following the schedule of the school year 2019- 2020, on the morning of September 23rd after the first flag ceremony, 55 upper classes belonging to Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted have commence the organization meetings of pioneers in order to review on their activities during the school year 2018 - 2019, and to vote for a new leading committee of the class’ youth union during the school year 2019 - 2010 under the directions of the school-board. The organization meetings have been carried out successfully, individual classes have gained the opportunity to point out the strengths and weakness of their union throughout the last year, and to nominate for the union’s leadership positions in 2019 - 2020.
On Wednesday morning (18/9), the Youth Union branch of class 10 Physics 2 had successfully held the model meeting of the Youth Union branch in their classroom on the first floor of house C.
The evening of September 14th saw the final night of the 2019 Ngay Hoi Anh Tai taking place successfully. On Monday morning, September 16th, a ceremony to present the organizers of NHAT ‘19 with rewards was held on the Hanoi - Amsterdam schoolyard.
On the afternoon of Wednesday 11/9, a useful extracurricular activity on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival took place at the Hall of 700 Hanoi High School for the Gifted - Amsterdam with the participation of more than 400 students of grades 6 and 7 of the school. with the teachers and homeroom teachers of the classes.
On August 19, 2019, during the first flag ceremony of new school year 2019-2020, the award ceremony for students who achieved high results in international science competition took place. Such good news is a great source of motivation for both teachers and students of Hanoi - Amsterdam high school for the coming school year.
In the age of integration and globalization, Vietnamese education is increasingly developing the teaching and training quality in the hope that our country’s education would be able to stand by the five great continents. The educational co-operation programs are being increasingly expanded with international standardized models, attracting foreign pupils and students.
On the afternoon of August 15th, Club Fair was successfully held in the AB and BC Halls of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, gathering the participation of almost 40 clubs and more than 600 Amsers of the class of 2019 - 2022.
Last year, students of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted not only achieved outstanding results in regional or national competitions, but also in international contests. Today, AWW has the opportunity to interview Tran Xuan Tung, former student of 12 Physics 1 and also the first Vietnamese Gold Medalist in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA).
