English Debate Contest, an annual activity of Hanoi – Amsterdam school specialized for Gifted Students, has always been an interesting and beneficial activity for students who want to improve their English proficiency and communication skill. On the morning of 30^th of January, 16 excellent students were chosen to attend the contest’s finale.

The students were divided into 4 teams: "Born this way", "Happy Family", "Ambitious" and "Power". The teams gradually attended thrilling rounds: Introduction (Introduce the team), Presentation (Present a given subject) and Role-play (act in a chosen but random situation). After these rounds, there are two superior teams: Power and Ambitious. The two were chosen by the judges to join the final round: "Debate".

With simple and creative ways of answering, "Ambitious" and "Power" strongly impressed the judges. Finally, after considering carefully, the judges decided to choose "Ambitious" as a winner. The contest ended successfully with the final results: The 1^st Prize belonged to "Ambitious"; the 2^nd Prize went to "Power"; while "Happy Families" and "Born this way" claimed the 3rd and consolation prize, respectively.
