Every year, on April 30th and May 1st, our country rejoices in celebration of the Liberation of the South and International Workers’ Day. These occasions are not only opportunities for families in need of a break but also a chance for people to awaken their national pride and love for work.

On April 30th, 1975, as the our tanks burst through the gates of the Independence Palace, the proud flag of our nation was planted, marking the official victory for Vietnam against the imperialist United States after more than 30 years of fighting. This was truly a shining milestone in our national history and a display of national strength. On this day every year, we again remind ourselves of  this proud victory and pay homage to those who have stood up for the country.

They, as individuals, contributed to a colorful, multi-faceted image of our Nation. Be it manual or mental work, these workers are all admirable and respectable people.
