[20/11 ANNIVERSARY] MR. NGUYỄN VĂN MẠNH - BRINGING NATIONAL DEFENSE EDUCATION TO A NEW LIFE

Post by: trangtrang | 20/11/2021 | 657 reads

Having been an NDE teacher for generations after generations of students of Hà Nội - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted for over a decade, mr. Mạnh has always left an indelible impression on these students with his sense of humor, his constant interaction with them during classes as well as shattering the myth of NDE being dull and dry. On Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11), Ams Wide Web has had a chance to know more about his utterly intriguing stories.

Reporter: I would like to begin the interview by thanking you for accepting the invitation letter. For the first question, I truly wonder how long you’ve been with Ams and why you chose teaching out of all other careers?

Thầy Mạnh: I came to Ams in 2009, meaning I’ve been teaching here for more than 10 years now; out of all professions I’ve tried, I was destined to teach at Ams.

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Mạnh

Reporter: Since your NDE lessons are always lively and have received positive reactions from students, can you tell us a thing or two about your teaching methods?

Mr. Mạnh: Hold on, someone actually likes NDE? (laugh) NDE is a rather rigid and tough subject, so I’ve tried my best to make them comfortable and actively interact with them to relieve some of that pressure of not doing hands-on learning...

Reporter: You must have been given all of the world’s best wishes and meaningful gifts from all students for every Vietnamese Teachers’ Day; do you have any specially memorable moments on this day?

Mr. Mạnh: My most memorable gifts were probably my portraits and some goofy envelopes. They are my favourites!

Reporter: As a last question, I would like to know if you have any desires for our school or your students so they can have an even better time attending your classes?

Mr. Mạnh: Our school has always made it easy for us to teach NDE, and school equipment is always aplenty. Students shouldn’t ignore NDE as the subject is graded in the school record, so always keep a serious attitude towards it, maybe one day, those lessons on crawling, gun mount and dismount may become memorable experiences for you!

Reporter: Thank you for joining Ams Wide Web in today’s interview. On 20/11, we wish you the best of health and zest, all in the hope that you will continue to bring joy to all of your students for all of your NDE classes!

With a mind of great care and devotion to NDE and his students, mr. Mạnh will forever be an admirable teacher and a top coach, teaching amusing and informative lessons for generations of Amsers to come!
