Post by: trangtrang | 20/11/2022 | 370 reads

After a year of online learning, teachers and students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School once again rejoiced in the jubilant atmosphere of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. After a turbulous 2021 - 2022 school year, the teachers have returned to the classroom to continue teaching and kindling the fire of ambitions in students, having made fond memories together during the pandemic. As Vietnamese Teachers’ Day of November 20th approaches, Ams Wide Web had the chance to interview Ms. Ngô Thiên Trang and listen to her perspectives on the highs and lows of the past school year.

Interviewer: First of all, on behalf of Ams Wide Web, I would like to sincerely thank you for accepting our request for an interview. Since November 20th is only a few days from now, I wonder if you feel like this year's Teachers' Day is any different from other years?

Ms. Trang: For me, the 20th of November of every single year is special, since I have the chance to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day with students new and old, who all are growing and changing year by year.

Interviewer: During an entire year of online studying, did you encounter any difficulties in your job?

Ms. Trang: In online learning, perhaps the most challenging obstacle to overcome was my inability to directly communicate with the students. Direct communication helps me better understand the difficulties students are facing. Not to mention, the Internet connection might sometimes affect teaching and learning. However, it was an interesting experience for me as well, as I got to improve my ability to adapt to extraordinary circumstances in teaching, and I also got to see the students' effort to adapt to it, too.

The lovely Ms. Thiên Trang

Interviewer: What inspired you to choose teaching, and what motivates you to continue doing so?

Ms. Trang: For me, teaching is special, since my subjects are young people - the ones who will shape the future of the country. So aside from simply imparting knowledge on students, enriching their lives and helping them learn right from wrong are also just as crucial. Each student is their own individual person, just like seedlings that need different environments to thrive. My happiness comes from being a part of your growth, listening to your thoughts and having the chance to offer advice. Every generation of students leaves me with unforgettable memories, so being a teacher is interesting and very much worth it.

Interviewer: In all of your years as a teacher, what is your most remarkable memory at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School?

Ms. Trang: I find myself mesmerized by the people here, from the mentors and colleagues to students in Ams—everyone is so genial. The students always complete their work well and are so talented. I think I still have much to learn from them.

Ms. Thiên Trang – the tireless gardener in the “garden of youth”

Interviewer: As 20/11 is coming, is there anything you'd like to say to us students?

Ms. Trang: I hope that you all will live righteously and true to yourselves. Listen to your own heart and bravely follow what you believe in, all the while constantly improving yourself as well as recognizing and showing affection to those who love and care about you.

Interviewer: Thank you so much. On behalf of Amsers, I hope you will have a wonderful time on this Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and wish you beauty, health and lots of success and happiness in your mission to educate the Youth!

On this occasion, the editorial department of Ams Wide Web would like to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all the educators out there, those who tirelessly work to silently sow the seeds of knowledge in the garden of the youth. We happily wish you all good health and happiness in your life alongside success after success in your career!
