Tet Donation 2021: Joining hands to bring Tet to highland children
The year of Tan Suu has passed nearly one third of its way, but the warmth and aftertaste of Tet is still there with the Tet Donation event - an annual event of Hanoi Food Rescue to donate to children in need.

Tet Donation (TetD) is an annual event, taken place after the Lunar New Year, of Hanoi Food Rescue - the brainchild of many high school students in Hanoi. This event was launched with the aim of making use of the quality food surplus that is still usable after Tet and clothes, books and toys to support children in difficult circumstances.

Tet Donation has successfully gone through 5 seasons with very impressive achievements: 2016, the events had brought in 700 sets of confectionery. The following year, that number was multiplied by 5 times, with 3500 snacks and candies delivered to students in Hoa Binh province. In 2018, 7,000 sets of confectionery were given away. And most recently, in 2019, the number of confectionery received was up to 15,000. In 2020, due to a complicated epidemic situation, Tet Donation, with some changes, had successfully mobilized more than 50 kg of rice, 1000 eggs and more than 50 kg of vegetables and fruits to "Siêu thị Hạnh phúc 0 đồng" (The Free Happiness Market).

Tet Donation 2021's donation week took place from March 22, 2021 to March 28, 2021 at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and a number of other primary and secondary schools in Hanoi such as: Thuc Nghiem Primary School, Van Phuc Primary School, Ngo Si Lien Secondary School … by setting up collection table. Not only that, when coming to donate, students will receive extremely cute and unique handmade gifts made by the members of the Organizing Committee.

Especially, on 04/04/2021, Tet Donation train will dock at the last stop: Thach Luong Primary & Secondary School, Thach Luong Commune, Yen Bai Province to hand over the collected confectionery to the students. In addition, the event also has a number of activities such as games, music, giving the students a sense of the late New Year.
