The 1% Fund is a volunteer project founded by the alumni of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, with the motto “One per cent, One change” Indeed, one single percent of each person’s passion can significantly impact the community. Up until now, the project has had six exciting seasons with worthy milestones through seasons of the main event MỌT - GOM.

The main event MỌT 2023: Kaleidoscope marked an impressive return for The 1% Fund, showing the continual eagerness to contribute from highschoolers in Hanoi.

The MỌT book exchange event is one of the two main events organized annually by The 1% Fund project. MOT has a mission to inspire a love for reading, spreading a book culture that is gradually disappearing in today’s modern life. With book exhibitions, book exchanges, games as well as guests, it would undoubtedly have an impact on the community. The project also promises to bring a new, literature-rich space with a fresh outlook. In particular, all the money raised at the event will be donated to patients at the Central Hematology Hospital.

Continuing the success from previous years, MOT 2023: KALEIDOSCOPE had succeeded in attracting the participation of nearly 3500 people, with donations totaling up to 400 used books and roughly 15,000,000 VND to children in need before Tet arrives. In addition, there were many booths and diverse game areas at the event which attracted the attention of many participants.

Even though the members of the project are still young, they are extremely dedicated to social work, with the desire to raise awareness when it comes to contributing to the community. Please continue to support the meaningful activities of these students to spread solidarity and love to those around you.
